Touted to be one of the most anticipated flicks of 2019, ‘Detective Pikachu’ is the
Ryan Reynolds live-action Pokemon adventure comedy. With Reynolds playing the central character, it has him as the voice and face of Detective Pikachu, the film also has Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton,
Suki Waterhouse, Omar Chaparro,
Chris Geere, Ken Watanabe and Bill Nighy in live-action roles. The first trailer was praised by fans and the second one seems to have only made fans more eager than ever.
The trailer focuses on the storyline and showcases new Pokemons, who will be making their debut in this American and Japanese joint venture. Fans are introduced to new Pokemons like Machamp, Snorlex, Flareon, Cubone, Snubbull, Ludicolo, Aipom, Blastoise, Loudred and the villainous Mewtwo. Apart from the new faces, fans are also treated to the notorious attack — the Volt Tackle.
Reynolds shared the trailer on his Twitter handle with a caption, ‘He’ll follow those clues no matter where they... oh look, something shiny. #DetectivePikachu’
Directed by Rob Letterman, ‘Detective Pikachu’ will release in May this year.
