Gujarati film enthusiasts are in for a treat as the upcoming movie 'Jhopadpatti,' featuring actor Hemang Dave, is set to hit theaters on March 8. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Hemang Dave revealed that, in addition to his acting prowess, he will be making his debut as a playback singer with the song titled 'Padkar Kar.'

The versatile artist expressed his excitement about the dual role, sharing insights into his unexpected journey from singing on Instagram live chats during the pandemic to landing a role in 'Jhopadpatti.'He said, “I'm so excited to share that I'll be making my debut as a playback singer with my song 'Padkar Kar' in the movie 'Jhopadpatti.' It all started with me singing on Instagram live chats during the pandemic.”

The opportunity arose when his friend Parth Y. Bhatt, who serves as an editor on the project, and the producer Pragnesh Mali took notice of his singing talent. Hemang Dave remarked, "It's amazing how something I did for fun has turned into a professional opportunity. I'm grateful for this chance to act and sing in the same film."
