The team of the Gujarati film 'Laalo' recently visited Bhuj to see Smritivan. They wanted to understand how the place was made after the big earthquake in 2001. They walked through the memorial and the museum and spent time looking at everything slowly. The cast shared how strong the experience felt to them. They said the stories of people, their pain, and their courage stayed with them even after they left the place.
A place that stays in the heart
In the video shared by official page of Smritivan, the team said that it is not a place you visit once and forget. They said it is something you carry with you. The place makes you think about how people stood up again after such a big disaster. The memorial shows loss, but it also shows hope and strength. The team felt it was one of the most meaningful museums in India and truly worth visiting.
Fans welcome the team
The post got many comments from people who were happy to see the Laalo team in Bhuj. One person wrote, "Lalomovieteam. Welcomebhuj." Another one wrote, "Aavo aavo bhuj welcome." Someone else wrote, "E.body Should Visit With Family So Proud Of Our Kutchh As A One Of the Unique Musium So Pls...Visit There..." The film continues to shine
While the visit made news, the movie itself is still doing very well at the box office. The film has now completed 95 days in theatres. It has earned 96.44 crore net in India. The gross number is 113.79 crores. These are reports from the Sacnilk website.
Most of the earnings have come from the original Gujarati version. It has made 96.07 crores net. The Hindi dubbed version has made only 37 lakhs, which is very small compared to the Gujarati number.
Laalo was made on a very small budget of just 50 lakh. Because of that, its success looks even bigger. With a net earning of 96.44 crores, the film has made a return on investment of 95.94 crores. When calculated fully, this becomes a shocking 19188% return at the Indian box office. It is one of the highest returns ever seen for a regional film made on a small budget.
