Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anne Hathway, Mrunal Thakur: Haute hooded couture looks

Haute hoods are taking over and how! After Anne Hathway rocked a hooded gown in Venice, it was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dishing out a dramatic metallic lewk at Cannes Film Festival. Mrunal Thakur and Sara Ali Khan too attempted the trending style, take a look:

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has always started a chatter with her sartorial choices on the Cannes red carpet. This year, the beauty queen decked up in a Sophie Couture gown, which came with an embellished hood. A grand black bow tied the artistic glittering look together. Her signature black cat eyeliner and ruby lip colour made a comeback this season too.

For her debut at the festival, Mrunal Thakur served several dramatic looks at the French Riviera. Hopping onto the hooded couture trend, Mrunal rocked an intricately embroidered co-ord set which was adorned with lace detailing and a flowing hood. This ensemble was crafted by Anamika Khanna. Mrunal Thakur completed her OOTD with stunning pearl earrings.

She has rocked this trend several times in the past and Anne’s latest tryst with haute hoods was witnessed at the Bulgari party in Venice. Dripping in glitter, the actress chose a spectacular metallic sequin gown which transformed from gold detailing to silver sequins. Anne Hathway’s hooded look was completed with a magnificent neckpiece, adorned with large rubies.

For her first ever appearance at the French Riviera, Sara Ali Khan went all desi! The actress dished out bridal goals as she choose a gorgeous Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla lehenga, which was embellished with intricate detailing of crystals and pearls. The hooded detailing here was provided by the long veil on her head.
