Alia Bhatt to Shah Rukh Khan: B-town celebs who met Rishi Kapoor in New York

On Thursday morning, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor passed away after fighting a long battle with cancer. It is an "irreparable loss" to the Indian film industry and the end of an era. He had been battling leukemia since the past two years and had also undergone treatment at a hospital in the US. During his treatment in 2018, Rishi was visited by an array of Bollywood celebrities along with his family and friends. From Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra Jonas to Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, here’s a look at all the celebrities who visited him back then:

In this picture, Rishi was surrounded by his industry friends and family including Aishwarya, Abhishek and Aaradhya, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir, Neetu, Riddhima and others. Even Alia’s mother visited the veteran actor and spent fun time with the Kapoor family.

Priyanka, who was shooting for her film ‘The Sky is Pink’ back then, visited Rishi and Neetu Kapoor in New York. The trio was all smiles in the picture. Today, PeeCee posted the same picture and mourned the demise of Rishi. She wrote, “My heart is so heavy. This is the end of an era. #Rishisir your candid heart and immeasurable talent will never be encountered again. Such a privilege to have known you even a little bit. My condolences to Neetu maam, Ridhima, Ranbir and the rest of the family. Rest in peace Sir.” Sonali, who has herself battled cancer, also visited the couple.

While getting treated in the US, Shah Rukh and his family visited Rishi. Neetu Kapoor took to Instagram to share a photograph of the couple's meeting with the Zero actor. She shared the picture and captioned it: "To make pple feel good about themselves is a rare quality!!! Shahrukh is all of that his love care is so so genuine !!! besides his amazing work I admire him as a very good and a real human being.”

Ranbir Kapoor’s ex-girlfriend Deepika too paid a visit back then. Even now, she shares a good bond with Ranbir’s parents. Neetu had shared the picture and wrote, “Such a fun evening with adorable @deepikapadukone .. gave lot of love n warmth”

Rishi and Neetu had a great time with Aamir, who visited the couple in the US. The picture itself suggests that they enjoyed spending time with each other. The yesteryear actress shared the picture on her Instagram account and wrote, “It's not how many hours one spends with a person it's how much u give in that time !!! Vicky, who was seen with Ranbir in ‘Sanju’, also visited the couple. He was in New York to ring in his birthday and he also met Rishi and Neetu.

Love birds Arjun and Malaika, who were on a holiday in New York, also visited to visit Rishi and wife Neetu. Neetu shared the picture of them with Rishi and her and wrote, "Fun evening with our very own Ghar ka bacha Arjun n the Lovly malaika.”

Riteish and wife Genelia also visited Rishi and Neetu in New York. They were also accompanied by Anupam. The trio posed with the couples for an adorable picture.
