Arjan Bajwa, known for films such as Fashion, Guru and
Kabir Singh, is much more than an actor. A trained pilot, black belt in Taekwondo, architecture student and entrepreneur, Bajwa continues to explore passions beyond the world of cinema.
Speaking about aviation, he revealed that flying has been a lifelong passion. “Aviation is something that I've been doing since I was in school. I started gliding at the Delhi Gliding Club at Safdarjung Airport when I was in the 11th standard. Since I could not pursue it as a profession, I have kept it as a hobby. Whenever I get a chance, I have a few friends who have flight schools in India and abroad, and they are kind enough to let me fly whenever I get time.”
On fitness, Bajwa believes in keeping things simple. “Eat right, sleep right, meditate, try to be positive, and work out. That's it. No other complications are needed to keep you fit.” The actor also spoke about vulnerability and the pressure on men to always appear strong. “You can't be putting on a mask all the time. You are human after all, and the highs and lows of life are a part of your everyday. I have been vulnerable, and I have faced situations where I was vulnerable. But I guess that is life; you have to move on from that situation, reassure yourself in what you're doing with a strong mindset and a strong-headed approach toward things, and move on.”
Asked what he would tell his younger self about manhood, Bajwa said, “Manhood is not taught, manhood comes from experience, age, and the kind of things that you go through in life.”
He added, “If life could be entirely guided by advice, the whole world would be a completely different place altogether.”
