Asha Parekh remembers Joy Mukherjee: 'When we were shooting for ‘Love In Tokyo’ in Japan, he was mobbed everywhere'

Recently, on the occasion of his death anniversary, one of his co-stars, Asha Parekh, paid a sweet tribute by reflecting on their professional journey. Having worked together in movies like ‘Ziddi,’ ‘Love in Tokyo,’ and ‘Hum Hindustani,’ Asha Parekh described their working bond as ‘great fun.’
“Whenever we shot together, there were a lot of fans flocking to see him, asking for his autograph. Now, fans ask for selfies,” she added.
The actress was on bedrest for two months. However, the veteran star said there are ‘no hard feelings. “Joy was more scared than I was. I asked him why he threw me on the bed so hard. He said I just slipped out of his hands. Poor chap,” she expressed.

Asha Parekh suffered a back injury because of a scene she shot with Joy Mukherjee. “He was supposed to carry me and drop me on the bed. He hurled me on the bed, and I had back pain for months,” she recalled.The actress was on bedrest for two months.
