'Dhurandhar 2': BMC to blacklist Aditya Dhar’s production house over alleged on-set violations in Mumbai? - Report
Aditya Dhar's 'Dhurandhar 2' is set to arrive in cinemas in March this year. While the buzz around the film is quite high, it seems that the filmmaker's production house is facing a legal issue from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). As per the reports, the studio has repeatedly violated rules on the sets of the upcoming film. Let's learn more about it.
The report further stated that the office has proposed a penalty of Rs 1 lakh for allegedly filming on a building's terrace and using generator vans without any authorization.
The report further stated that the Rs 25000 security deposit submitted by the applicant has been forfeited.
However, authorities stated that the film team "violated" the rules, which didn't allow the use of crackers and flammable materials.
Reportedly, another application was submitted by a person named Komal Pokhriyal to seek permission for shooting on February 13 and 14. However, as the production team had violated the earlier rules, the authorities cancelled the application.
The report stated that one more fresh application was made on February 14 to shoot sequences between 12:00 am and 4:00 am. The officials stated that the film team has assured them that no rules will be violated this time. After the assurance, a conditional permission was granted.
However, even after reassuring the officials, police received complaints on February 14 at around 12:45 am revealing the use of flammable torches during the shoot. Reportedly, a senior BMC officer arrived at the location within 15 minutes and seized five lit torches from the set.
After the incident, the applicant told the authorities that any visuals involving fire would be created using VFX. The report further stated that the Ward A office wants to impose fines, formally register the seized items, and even blacklist the applicant, Komal Pokhriyal, and Nashir Khan, along with the production house, from applying for any future permissions to shoot through the state film corporation portal.
