Sonam Kapoor celebrates her 38th birthday today. The actress made her debut in 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya. Since then, she's won hearts with her on-screen presence and being a fashion icon off-screen. Heres's looking at some of the most memorable performances of the actor!

Sonam essayed the role of Neerja Bhanot who had saved lives of many, in this biopic! The plot is based on a real-life event: the attempted hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 in Karachi. The 2016 film was directed by Ram Madhavani. Sonam got a lot of love for her performance in the movie and the audience was left highly emotional. Shabana Azmi had played her mother in the film.

Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush starred together in 'Raanjhanaa' and the film also starred Abhay Deol and Swara Bhaskar. The film sparked many conversations but that's what it was meant to. In its core, it was a really unique subject and Sonam was loved as Zoya. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the music of the film helmed by AR Rahman continues to be memorable till date.
