We all enjoy a good Bollywood wedding. One of the first things that come to our mind when we think about wedding is the venue. While celebrity couples such as Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh opted for international destinations for their wedding, some got hitched at heritage venues in Rajasthan.

Rajasthan is set to witness another star wedding of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani which is the first Bollywood wedding of 2023 in the desert state. Here we take a look at FIVE celebrities who opted for a royal wedding in Rajasthan.

After keeping their romance a secret for a long time, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani are all set to tie the knot on February 6 at the luxurious Suryagarh palace hotel in Jaisalmer. The couple also celebrated pre-wedding festivities like Haldi, mehendi and sangeet. The ‘Shershaah’ co-stars Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani have been romantically linked for a long time. The actors haven't explicitly confirmed or denied the rumours about their relationship, but they also haven’t officially denied them either.

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal too didn’t make their relationship official, until they got hitched in December 2021. The couple opted for a private-yet-lavish wedding ceremony. They got married at a fort resort in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur district with just their close friends and family in attendance. Their pictures and videos from their royal wedding were a sight for the sore eyes.

Priyanka Chopra surprised everyone when she announced her marriage with American singer-actor Nick Jonas. The Desi Girl of Bollywood got hitched at the Umaid Bhavan palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The couple had two wedding ceremonies – one honouring the Hindu rituals and the other one honouring the Christian rituals. They also had the traditional, haldi, mehendi and sangeet ceremony at the palace before their big day.

‘Drishyam 2’ star Shriya Saran got married to the man of her dreams and her longtime beau Andrei Koscheev in Udaipur in 2018. The couple chose Deogarh Mahal, a heritage property built in the 17th century, for their big day. The intimate ceremony was attended by their close friends and family. Before their lavish wedding, Shriya and Andrei had a registered marriage in Mumbai.

In the list of the celebrities who got hitched in Rajasthan, are also Raveena Tandon and Anil Thadani. The couple, who got married in 2004, opted for the City of Lakes, Udaipur. Their grand wedding was held at the Shiv Niwas Palace, owned by the erstwhile royal family of Udaipur. The couple has been happily married for over two decades and is parents to two lovely kids, Rasha and Ranbir.
