Looking at Celina Jaitly’s precious social media family memories amid her brother Vikrant Jaitly’s detention in UAE

Actor Celina Jaitly often takes to social media to share tender throwbacks from her family life, memories that speak of love, resilience, and loss. Her brother, retired Major Vikrant Jaitly has been detained in the United Arab Emirates for more than 14 months. Celina Jaitly has appealed to the Delhi High Court requesting the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to intervene and render her brother with legal and medical aid. Celina has always taken to social media to share throwback moments from her childhood and younger days with her parents and brother. Here let's take a look at the times when she shared family moments on social media.

Remembering her mother Meeta Jaitly

In one post dedicated to her late mother Dr. Meeta Jaitly, who passed away after a long battle with cancer, Celina wrote, “Losing a mother doesn’t happen in a moment. It takes years to appreciate the impact of what’s gone. Her absence is like the sky, spread over everything.”

She added, “Thinking of the days when we were a happy family Ma… Happy Mother’s Day in heaven. Eternal gratitude and millions of things still unsaid. Miss you.”

Honouring her father

Celina’s late father, Colonel Vikram Kumar Jaitly (SM) of the Kumaon Regiment, served in the 1971 war and was fondly remembered by the actress in a deeply emotional post. Sharing a photo of her family in uniform, she wrote, “THERE IS A CITY IN MY HEART PA… WHERE YOU ARE THE ONLY POPULATION.”

Reflecting on his courage and values, Celina wrote, “‘Stand up and fight!!’ is what my soldier dad always told me… My father made me a strong woman. My heart still aches in sadness, my silent tears still flow.”

She also revealed her parents’ love story: “They fell in love at Lucknow command hospital after the 1971 war… She constantly told me she was waiting for him to come n get her.”

Wonderful years in Ranikhet

In another nostalgic post, Celina shared a childhood photo from Ranikhet, writing, “This photo was taken when my father late Colonel VK Jaitly, SM (Then a Major) returned from a field posting and we were reunited after a very long time. As an Army family we only had each other. A soldier joins the military and takes his family with him. Being an Infantry officers family meant also that my father was deployed away in field postings most of his life. When he was deployed, we continued with our lives, but a large part of it remained missing until he walked back through our front door!"

She added that it marked the beginning of her wonderful years in Ranikhet. She concluded, "This was the beginning of some very wonderful years in #ranikhet at the Kumaon regimental centre in #uttrakhand These were some of the most wonderful years of our childhood with our late parents. I wish I could go back in to this moment… I would spend it hugging my parents instead of stuffing myself with 5 Campa Colas and 20 Samosas ….."

'Angry at my parents'

The actress also shared another throwback snap where she wrote that she is angry at her parents for not teaching her how to live without them. Her post read, "Angry at my parents for not teaching me how to live without them….. Happy family we were …. Now it’s just happy memories #parentsinheaven #missingyou #parents #familymatters #celinajaitly #celinajaitley".
