'My personal loss is indescribable, he was everything to me,' says Hema Malini in an emotional FIRST post after Dharmendra's demise
Legendary actor Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at his home in Mumbai. The actor's demise left a huge void to Indian cinema but more importantly, for his family, his loss is irreplaceable. Dharmendra who was married to Prakash Kaur since 1954, had tied the knot with actress Hema Malini in 1980. Days after his demise, Hema Malini has finally broken silence and penned an emotional note for her husband.
Hema Malini expressed in a heart-wrenching note, "Dharam ji❤️He was many things to me. Loving Husband, adoring Father of our two girls, Esha & Ahaana, Friend, Philosopher, Guide, Poet, my ‘go to’ person in all times of need - in fact, he was everything to me! And always has been through good times and bad. He endeared himself to all my family members with his easy, friendly ways, always showing affection and interest in all of them.
As a public personality, his talent, his humility in spite of his popularity, and his universal appeal set him apart as a unique icon unequalled among all the legends. His enduring fame and achievements in the film industry will last forever."
She added further, "My personal loss is indescribable and the vacuum created is something that will last through the rest of my life. After years of togetherness, I am left with myriad memories to relive the many special moments…"
Dharmendra and Hema Malini have two daughters - Esha and Ahana Deol. The actor's prayer meet will be held today, November 27 in Mumbai.

He was a husband first. A commitment. A life already built with another woman. What was done is not love â it is betrayal at its ugliest. To enter a married manâ s life, break a home, tear apart a wifeâ s trust, and then switch faith simply to make it appear â legalâ is not courage or dignity â it is manipulation wrapped in justification.Faith is sacred. It is not a tool to sanitize desire or legitimise a relationship born out of selfishness. When someone destroys a family and calls it romance, it only exposes the absence of values, conscience, and respect for human emotions.A womanâ s lifelong bond was reduced to nothing, all so this could be presented as a â love storyâ . But there is nothing noble about stealing what was never meant to be taken. No ceremony, no conversion, no label can erase the truth of the pain caused.Read allPost comment
