Priyanka Chopra leaves fans excited as she reacts to rumours of being a part of 'Don 3' and 'Krrish 4', Mahesh Babu says THIS
Priyanka Chopra is all set to make her comeback to Indian cinema after nearly six years with SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated film 'Varanasi' opposite Mahesh Babu. The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran. Fans are waiting anxiously for the film ever since the film's title was revealed along with the first glimpse at a mega event in Hyderabad. Amidst that, there have been speculations about Priyanka returning for 'Krrish 4' and 'Don 3'. In a recent interview, Priyanka has reacted to these speculations.
While 'Don 3' was officially announced with Ranveer Singh in the lead, reports later claimed the project was stalled after the actor exited it post the success of 'Dhurandhar'. Several reports then suggested that Farhan is now paying his attention to other projects like 'Jee Le Zaraa' which was earlier announced with Priyanka, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. Parallelly, buzz has been growing around Priyanka potentially reprising her role in 'Krrish 4'.
Reacting to the chatter during an interview with Screenrant, Priyanka remained tight-lipped, saying, “I don’t know if I can talk about either of them at all,” which prompted her Varanasi co-star Mahesh Babu to jokingly add, “Then there’s something happening.”
Describing this phase of her career as particularly special, Priyanka said, “This (Varanasi) is the first one that I’m doing after, like, almost six years in India, and just coming back.” She further shared that she would be open to revisiting past roles and franchises, provided they offer compelling narratives.
Speculation around Krrish 4 gained momentum last year after reports suggested Hrithik Roshan would step into the director’s role, taking over from his father Rakesh Roshan, with Priyanka set to play a significant part. The rumours were further fuelled when Hrithik was spotted spending time with Priyanka and her husband Nick Jonas in the US. However, an official confirmation is still pending.
Meanwhile, the makers of 'Varanasi' unveiled a visually striking teaser in November, giving audiences their first glimpse of Mahesh Babu as Rudhra — bloodied, holding a trishul, and riding a bull. Priyanka Chopra will be seen as Mandakini, while Prithviraj Sukumaran essays the role of the antagonist, Kumbha.
Varanasi centres on Rudhra’s globe-trotting time-travel quest to retrieve a powerful cosmic artefact rooted in ancient mythology, as he races against time to prevent an impending catastrophe. The film promises a sweeping spectacle that fuses Indian mythological elements with large-scale action, spanning multiple eras and continents, and culminating in an epic clash between Rudhra and the formidable Kumbha.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the latest Hindi movies, upcoming Hindi movies in 2026 , and Telugu movies.”
