Rakul Preet Singh storms off when questioned on father-in-law Vashu Bhagnani’s financial trouble
Rakul Preet Singh who is often seen having the sweetest interaction with the paps, recently did something that looked out of her character. At an event, when a journalist tried to question her regarding the alleged financial troubles of her father-in-law Vashu Bhagnani, the actress seemed quite upset and chose to literally walk away from the question.
The video of the same is doing rounds on social media, which shows that the actress first very calmly approaches for interaction with media. However, when a journalist starts to frame a question around the reported financial crises, she doesn’t even let him finish. She apologizes and walks away.
For the uninitiated, Vashu Bhagnani has been accused of non-payment for ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’. According to Danik Bhaskar, director Ali Abbas Zafar has filed a complaint against the producer with the Director’ Association, asking them to intervene. Zafar claims that Vashu Bhagnani owes him Rs7.30 crores. Following the complaint, a letter was sent to Vashu by the Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE), asking for his side of the story.
On the other hand, Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani have filed a complaint against filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar. They have accused him of siphoning the subsidy funds he took from Abu Dhabi authorities during the shoot of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.’ Reportedly, after the complaint, the director is likely to be summoned by the Bandra Police in Mumbai soon.
Amid this fiasco, Rakul Preet’s action makes it clear that she doesn’t want to add to the speculations in any way possible. She distanced herself from any comment on the matter, maintaining her dignity.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rakul Preet Singh will next be seen in the romantic comedy ‘De De Pyaar De.’
