Ranbir Kapoor feels 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' would make a good sequel
Ranbir Kapoor is currently riding on the success of 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar' and 'Brahmastra: Part One: Shiva'. But for the longest time, 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' had been his most successful film, and to date, a lot of fans still feel a connection with his character, Bunny. And going by the norm, every successful film should have a sequel, so were there any plans by the film's makers to explore Bunny, Naina, Avi, and Aditi’s journey beyond what we saw back in 2013?
Ranbir Kapoor, in his latest interactions with fans, revealed that Ayan Mukerji had come up with a very good story, taking forward the lives of these four characters by 10 years and seeing what is happening with them. But Ayan got busy with Brahmastra, and the sequel remained just an idea.
In fact, back in 2018, Ranbir had also spoken about how he and Ayan have often spoken about 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani 2' and how it would have been an easier film than the 'Brahmastra' franchise. Ranbir, who is yet to sign on for a new film, will now be seen in Sandeep Vanga Reddy’s 'Animal' with Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandana.
