Ranbir Kapoor reveals 'Ramayana' is a 6 hr spectacle
In a video from the event that has now gone viral online, the actor revealed new details about the scale of the film, stating that the two-part mythological saga will feature nearly six hours of action, visuals and emotional storytelling. Much like the recent two-part box office blockbuster, 'Dhurandhar', which boasted of over 7.5 hours of footage, the upcoming epic, is also nearly 6 hours long, and has been split into two parts.
Speaking during an interaction with Collider in Los Angeles, Kapoor addressed the comparisons to the fantasy film 'Lord of the Rings' and said, "Ramayana is nothing less than 'Lord of the Rings', you know, it's our greatest epic spectacle coming from our country, and this was just a teaser." He went on to elaborate, "We have six hours of epic visuals and epic action sequences, emotions. It teaches you to be a better son, a better husband, a better brother, you know, it's the triumph of good over evil. There is so many different layers of storytelling happening with this film that I'm really excited for people to sample it."
The video was posted online after the global release of the first glimpse of the teaser 'Rama', which offered audiences their first look at Kapoor as Lord Rama. It also featured glimpses of epic battle scenes and introduced audiences to various creatures, giants, and demons.
