Saiee Manjrekar: Fitness is not about how you look but how you feel every day
For Saiee M Manjrekar, fitness is no longer about quick results or rigid routines. The Dabangg 3 actress has embraced a more balanced approach that combines training, nutrition and recovery.
Saiee says, “Fitness has become a way of life rather than something I do for a short period of time. I make it a point to train regularly, but I don’t believe in overdoing it. Some days are about intense strength training, while others are more focused on functional movements or improving endurance. I’ve also realised that recovery is just as important as the workout itself. Listening to your body, giving it rest when needed, and not pushing beyond a point is something I’ve learnt over time.”
That balance extends to food as well, with Saiee consciously moving away from restrictive habits. She shares, “When it comes to diet, I’ve moved completely away from anything extreme or restrictive. I believe in eating balanced, wholesome meals, home-cooked food, good proteins, healthy carbs, and staying hydrated. It’s not about cutting things out but understanding what your body needs.”
The biggest shift, she admits, has been in the way she looks at fitness. She says, “Earlier, it was easy to think in terms of quick results, but now I focus on building a routine that I can sustain. Fitness is not just about how you look, it’s about how you feel every day, your energy, your strength, and your mental clarity.”
At the heart of it all, she believes consistency makes the difference. She adds, “At the end of the day, consistency in both training and diet is what really makes a difference. There are no shortcuts, and I’ve come to appreciate that process a lot more now.”
