When Shah Rukh Khan had reacted to his link-up rumours with Priyanka Chopra: 'The lady has not been shown the kind of respect I show her'

Shah Rukh Khan who has been in the industry for around three decades is known for his 'family man' image and being the most loving husband to his wife Gauri Khan. The actor has never been linked ever to any of his co-stars, except for the time when his link-up rumours with Priyanka Chopra were at their peak. Shah Rukh was once asked about these rumours and he won hearts in the way he spoke about PC with utmost respect. An old video of this has gone viral on Reddit and this seems from the time when he was promoting 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' as Katrina Kaif is seated next to him.

When asked about how he personally took these link-up rumours, Shah Rukh said, "What's most disturbing is the fact that a lady who has worked with me has been questioned and not been shown the kind of respect which I show her. It's extremely disrespectful and I'm extremely sorry about that. Sorry is not because of anything that I've done but sorry because she's my friend and she's one of the closest friends I have and she very close to my heart, always will be."

He had further added, "Sometimes when things are said, I needed to step back from it because those things are very banal, small and very menial and it just tends to spoil relationships which we shared while working with each other. She's a little girl who started her Miss World crowning with me. We've shared some of the nicest moments on-screen and off it as friends."

Recently, the rumours of this link-up went wild as Priyanka showed a brown jacket on a show and said it was an ex-boyfriend's jacket. Interestingly, netizens found out some pictures of SRK wearing a similar jacket. Rumour mills would certainly have no end. But while Shah Rukh continues to remain madly in love with his wife Gauri, Priyanka is now happily married to Nick Jonas and they have a daughter - Malti Marie.
