'Fanney Khan' in legal tussle with producer Vashu Bhagnani?
‘Fanney Khan’ starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao has been surrounded with some or the other trouble ever since its inception. Now, as per latest reports, for the fourth time, producer Vashu Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment has claimed his rights over a former KriArj film.
The legal controversies spewed by KriArj Entertainment by signing multiple agreements with distributors and producers have now reportedly led to another snare in case of ‘Fanney Khan’. After the release of the poster of the film, Vashu Bhagnani expressed his disappointment over not receiving credits on the poster.
The producer claimed that after signing the deal with KriArj Entertainment, he owned the distribution rights of the movie. Thus, he has reportedly slapped legal notices to Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Bhushan Kumar and Prernaa Arora to have not credited him with the contribution of co-producing ‘Fanney Khan’. The statement issues by Vashu Bhagnani asserted that he holds the distribution, exhibition and exploitation of commercial and non-commercial theatrical rights of Fanney Khan in all India territories. It further also alleged that the other producers must seek approval from Vashu Bhagnani before planning the release of the film.
