Jasbir Jassi: I love the festive buzz in the capital during December & January
For Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi, Delhi winters are full of festive vibes. The singer, who was recently spotted enjoying a classical dance performance in the city, said, "Delhi winters ka maza he kuch aur hai. I love the festive buzz in the city during the months of December and January. There is a lot happening in the city. Main jab bhi Dilli aata hoon, toh Purani Dilli zaroor jata hoon. Paranthe Wali Gali mein garma garam paranthe khana mujhe bahut pasand hai. Dilli ki roadside wali chai aur matthi bhi mujhe bahut achhi lagti hai. There is a small dhaba near Shivaji Stadium, where you get amazing kadhi chawal aur rajma chawal, I go there, too."
He adds, "Apart from that, I love attending different cultural events in the city. There are always some or the other exciting events happening at India Habitat Centre, India International Centre or Kamani Auditorium."
The singer, whose tracks like 'Koka' and 'Dil Le Gayi Kudi Gujarat Di', among others, continue to be party starters, is not a fan of 'vulgar lyrics'.
"I urge radio and TV channels to play more of classical and folk music and songs with double meanings, vulgar lyrics or the ones glorifying drugs should be banned at all costs," he says.
