Amaal Malik is one of the most prolific young singers and music directors in the industry right now. As the latest season of ‘Bigg Boss’ starts with a bang, he entered the show as one of the contestants, leaving his fans buzzing with excitement. He is also known for his composing skills, making him a multifaceted package. He has been making headlines left and right for many reasons now.

Amaal Malik comes from a family where his childhood years were influenced by music. He was born to music director Daboo Malik and Jyothi Malik, along with his brother Armaan Malik. After pursuing his education, he started his career in music in the early 2000s. At the time, he used to work on background scores along with Sandeep Chowta and Salim–Sulaiman for different films. At the time, he worked on films like ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘R… Rajkumar’, and ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Return’.

While he worked on films in the background for quite some time, his fame came along after he took on more leading projects and worked on hit songs. Some of his most viral songs include but are not limited to, ‘Kar Gayi Chul’, ‘Hua Hain Aaj Pehli Baar’, ‘Buddhu Sa Mann’, ‘Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon’, and ‘Sooraj Dooba Hai’.

In recent news, one of the biggest reasons as to why the singer has made it to the top of the headlines is after he announced that he is cutting off all ties with his brother Aramaan Malik. Earlier this year, in March, the singer and composer shared that he is distancing himself from his brother as well as his family. He cited that he had to take this step due to being compared to his brother, who is also a renowned singer.

At the same time, he revealed that he had been suffering from clinical depression as well. He shared that the continuous comparison to Armaan affected him massively, to the point where he developed depression, and even had to distance himself from his family members as well. During his entry on ‘Big Boss’, he stated, “When I shared a post about feeling depressed, many people, including my parents, thought I shouldn’t have done it”.
