'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups' is set in a fascinating and unexplored period of Indian history. Yash explained the socio-political context that forms the story.He said, "It's set in an era where in 1947 India got independence, but a small state like Goa was still under the Portuguese till 1961.""A lot of the port was a very crucial part of their governance-and gangsters, smuggling..." the 'KGF' star added.

Fictional storytelling style of 'Toxic'

Despite the real historical roots, the film remains fictional at its core. Yash clarified the approach to its narrative tone."It's a fictional story-that's why it's called 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups.'"He called it a raw story told in a very cinematic way.The movie promises a layered concept with intense sequences. It moves beyond typical gangster films into something more character-driven.

Update on 'KGF 3' plans

Yash addressed fan queries about the next chapter in his successful franchise. He confirmed that 'KGF 3' will happen but not immediately. His focus remains on current major projects.“We aren’t planning anything soon because I have 'Toxic' and 'Ramayana 1' and 2. I and the director Prashanth Neel will keep talking. We need to come up with the right script and then we’ll definitely make it happen."He stressed the need to maintain quality. The team will collaborate when the perfect script is ready.'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups' is set for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4 2026. A nine-minute preview screened at CinemaCon received positive reactions.
