Dileep-Ratheesh Reghunandan’s film titled ‘Thankamani’, title poster out!

Dileep’s upcoming film with Ratheesh Reghunandan, which was tentatively titled ‘D148’ has got a title. The makers announced the title last day, along with a motion poster. The film is titled ‘Thankamani’ and as per the reports, the upcoming Dileep starrer is a crime thriller, which is based on true events. The film is written and directed by Ratheesh Reghunandan, and it marks Dileep's return to the big screen after his last appearance in 'Voice of Sathyanathan,' directed by Raffi.

If reports are to be believed, 'Thankamani’ revolves around the incidents of a bus service dispute and the ensuing legal and social ramifications, that happened in the village of Thankamani in the Idukki district on October 21, 1986.

The tagline of the film reads, ‘The Bleeding Village’.

Ratheesh Reghunandan, who is known for his previous work on 'Udal’ is helming the upcoming gripping crime thriller. The upcoming film boasts an ensemble cast, including Neetha Pillai, Pranitha Subhash, Ajmal Amir, Siddique, Manoj K. Jayan, Kottayam Ramesh, Major Ravi, Santosh Keezhattur, Tomman Maankuva, Ramya Panicker, Mukthar, Shiva Kamee, John Vijay, and Sampath Ram.

The film was shot at various locations, including Poonjar, Eerattupetta, Kanjirappalli, Kottikal, Kuttikkanam, Peerumedu, Kattappana, and Kottayam CMS College. The upcoming film is mounted on a massive budget, and the makers had erected a giant set in Kattappana, on two and a half acres of land, to film some pivotal scenes of the film.

On the technical side, the music is composed by William Francis, cinematography is handled by Manoj Pillai, and Shyam Sasidharan took care of the editing. The film also has renowned fight masters Rajasekharan, Stand Shiva, Supreme Sundar, and Mafia Sashi, who have lent their expertise to the action sequences in the movie. Arun Manohar handles costume design, and Roshan manages makeup. The project designer is Sajith Krishna, and Sumith B. P. is the project head. Manesh Balakrishnan serves as the chief associate director, and Shalu Payattu Design captures the stills.
