The Malayalam film industry's consistent delivery of quality content has garnered attention not only within the industry but also from actors in other language cinemas, heightened by Rahul Ravindran's commendation. The actor's acknowledgment comes amid a wave of positive reviews for the newly released Malayalam films with an exception to Mohanlal and Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’, which was expected to be a grand spectacle and didn’t impress the majority of the audiences.
