Makers of ‘Lovely’ starring Mathew Thomas locks the release

Mollywood’s young star Mathew Thomas is headlining the upcoming film ‘Lovely’. The team wrapped up the shoot in August, last year (2023). The makers have now locked the release. Dileesh Karunakaran, the director of ‘Lovely’ confirmed that the film is a May release. In a post shared on Instagram, the director said, “Lovely in cinemas from May 2024.”

‘Lovely’ is said to be a fantasy film, with a housefly playing the central character in the film. Actors Manoj K Jayan, KPAC Leela, Radhika of ‘Appan’, Ashwathy Manoharan, Prashanth Murali and Ganga Meera have roped in to play some pivotal roles in the film.

‘Lovely’ is written and directed by Dileesh Karunakaran, who has previously helmed ‘Tamaar Padaar’. He has also co-written Aashiq Abu’s films ‘Salt N' Pepper’, ‘Da Thadiya’, ‘Idukki Gold’, and ‘Mayaanadhi’. Interestingly, Aashiq Abu has roped in as the cinematographer for the film. Kiran Das has roped in as the editor. The music is composed by Vishnu Vijay, known for his compositions for ‘Guppy', 'Ambili', 'Thallumaala', 'Sulaikha Manzil', and 'Falimy', among others.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mathew Thomas' recent outings were 'Journey of Love 18+', 'Leo', and 'Family '.
