Mohanlal & Suchitra: A timeline of their adorable love story

‘Match made in heaven’- people use this phrase extensively while praising someone for their wedding anniversary or even during the time of a close one’s wedding. But when you look at the superstar Mohanlal and his love relationship with his wife Suchitra, you can understand that the term ‘Match made in heaven’ is a real deal. Today, on April 28, 34 years back, marked the day when the superstar married the love of his life Suchitra. On this special day, let's take a look at the timeline of their filmy love story.

Previously in an interview with an online media, Suchitra revealed that she disliked Mohanlal’s antagonist character in his film ‘Manjil Virinja Pookkal’ and that was her first impression of Mohanlal. Later that dislike turned to love when she saw the drama film ‘Ente Mamattukkuttiyammakku’. She also revealed in the interview that she fell in love with Mohanlal after watching the film and also he became her favorite actor.

Mohanlal and Suchitra had a love cum arranged marriage and she used to send flowers and greeting cards to the actor even before they met in real life. Later both of them met in real life through some of their common friends. In that way, two ever-loving souls met and love blossomed between them.

Every story has a villain and in the love story between Mohanlal and Suchitra, Horoscope played the role of an antagonist as both their families were against their alliance because their horoscopes didn't match. Late fate itself acted as a hero as it was understood that the astrologer made a mistake. Resulting in both the souls’ marriage getting fixed.

Mohanlal and Suchitra tied the knot on April 28, 1988. The wedding ceremony was held at Mohanlal’s hometown Mudavanmugal, Thiruvananthapuram. Mohanlal took a day off on that day from the shoots of his film ‘Padamudra’.
