Mollywood actor
Tovino Thomas and Jean Paul Lal teamed up for the commercial entertainer ‘Nadikar’ which unfortunately didn’t work well in theatres. Now, the OTT release for the Tovino starrer is also reportedly facing some setbacks.
Releasing on May 3rd this year, ‘Nadikar’ has not yet started the digital streaming, making the movie buffs wonder about the delay. According to the reports by OTT Play, ‘Nadikar’ has been put on hold by a popular OTT platform. The reason for this stay is reportedly due to a disagreement over the streaming rights price.
Adding more reasons for the disagreement, the OTT platform seems to be not satisfied with the fact that the movie failed to mint good numbers at the box office and received mediocre reviews from the audiences, forcing them to reconsider the streaming rights price deal. If the reports turn out to be true, then the Tovino Thomas starrer will only arrive on OTT once the issue is sorted.
Directed by Lal Jr., ‘Nadikar’ had Tovino Thomas playing an on-screen superstar named David Padikkal who goes through a crisis in his life and career. Actress Bhavana played a pivotal role in the movie which also featured the actors Soubin Shahir, Suresh Krishna, Balu Varghese, Divya Pillai, Anoop Menon, Dinesh Prabhakar, Major Ravi, Indrans, and many more in pivotal roles.
On the other hand, Tovino Thomas’ recent outing ‘Ajayante Randam Moshanam’ has raked in more than Rs 100 crores at the box office. The movie which was helmed by the debutant Jithin Lal also marks the Malayalam debut of the actress Krithi Shetty.
