Tovino shared the trailer on his Instagram handle with the caption, "A Film by Dijo Jose Antony." The trailer opens with a revolt and a tense issue inside a church. National Award-winning actor Vijayaraghavan plays the main priest.
Tovino Thomas is introduced as a Chattambi who is a local rowdy who appears both intense and playful. The visuals show the love chemistry between Tovino and Kayadu Lohar. British cruelties towards villagers form a key part of the narrative.

'Pallichattambi' stars Tovino Thomas in the lead role and the 'Dragon' fame Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead. This marks one of her major Malayalam projects after 'Pathonpatham Noottandu'.
Excitement over Prithviraj Sukumaran's cameo
The trailer hints at a special cameo and netizens believe it could be Prithviraj Sukumaran. One comment said, "ആ യഥാർത്ഥ ഉടയോൻ പ്രിത്വിരാജ് ആണെന്ന് എല്ലാർക്കും മനസിലായി (That Udayon character is Prithviraj and we all understood it)".

Interestingly, Prithviraj and Dijo Jose Antony previously collaborated on the superhit 'Jana Gana Mana', which also starred Suraj Venjaramoodu. Another interesting aspect of this period thriller is surely the presence of Jakes Bejoy as the music composer.

'Pallichattambi' is an action-based period drama set in the late 1950s. It explores socio-political conditions of that time through a fictional story. The film features a strong supporting cast including Vijayaraghavan, Johny Antony, Sudheer Karamana, TG Ravi, Prashanth Alexander and Sreejith Ravi. Baburaj also plays a pivotal role.
'Pallichattambi' is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 10 in multiple languages.
