As veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan gears up for the release of his upcoming horror comedy flick, ‘Bhoot Bangla’ with Akshay Kumar, he will be working on his 100th film with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. Recently, a report suggested new details about the project, mentioning that the film will shoot at the end of the year.

Shoot likely to begin in December

According to an India Today report, the movie is expected to begin shooting by the end of December as both the actor and director are working on their other projects.

The film will revolve around the story of a father and a son’s relationship, where both characters will be seen as musicians. Music remains a big part of their lives; however, they will have multiple creative differences, leading to a fight between them. The story shows how they deal with their egos and differences.The movie will not only mark the ‘Hera Pheri’ director’s 100th film, but is set to have a deeply personal touch. Additionally, the film will focus on real emotions and address pride, legacy, and the need for validation. The story deepens because both the father and son work in the same field.

Music plays a key role in Mohanlal starrer

As the film's story revolves around music, music won’t just be there for the background score.

On the working front, Priyadarshan is promoting his upcoming film, ‘Bhoot Bangla’, set to release on April 10, 2026. On the other hand, Mohanlal too has a full plate as he is busy with the cop action film ‘L366’, the much anticipated ‘Drishyam 3’ and other projects including ‘Patriot’ with Mammootty.
