Plot: The sarpanch of a village decides to marry off his niece to a businessman’s son in the city. The to-be groom, Aakash, is a spoilt brat but mends his ways after he meets Varsha. Post marriage, though, life takes an unexpected turn. Review: Every once in a while a movie releases that makes you question the whole point of making it. Most films have a silver lining though; either in terms of performances, story or technical aspects. But there are those rare ones that manage to eliminate the minutest of expectations. Tula Pan Bashing Bandhaychay (TPBB) is one of them. This film is a classic example of how lack of planning and focus can ruin an entire project. For those lucky ones who haven’t watched the trailer yet, TPBB aims to be a ‘romantic drama’ that tries to implement love, the village-city divide, health issues and inequality, all at once! To execute this highly ambitious plan, the makers introduce us to Varsha (Kale), the daughter of a village sarpanch (Vishwakarma) and Aakash (Nagrale), the bratty son of a city businessman. Long story short, Varsha and Aakash get married, but before they consummate their marriage, Aakash meets with an accident. Though he recovers from the wounds, the blood reports confirm that he is HIV positive. The families are in shock but after much thought, decide that Varsha should marry Aakash’s younger brother Vikas. Why? How? We dare you to watch the movie and find out.Performances are below average and two established actors, Vikram Gokhale and Yatin Karyekar, are totally wasted in this film which is technically mediocre and lacks a proper story, making TPBB an enduring watch. We suggest skipping this one. However, if you seek revenge on someone, buying them tickets for this movie would be a good option.
