'Bhau Beej'

'Bhau Beej', the Pramod Shinde directorial starred Alka Kubal, Nishigandha Wad, Ashok Shinde in prominent roles. The story follows the relationship between two neighbours, Raj and Zilu who are not blood brother and sister but support each as one of their own. Growing up in Muslim and Hindu families respectively, this tells the tale of the differences and objections that come in the way of their sibling bond. See how Zilu and Raj's progressive thoughts only help make their bond stronger.

'Aadhar'

Mahesh Tilekar's 'Aadhar' featured Aishwarya Narkar, Sajid Shaikh, Jayaram Kulkarni, Sulabha Arya, Viju Khote, Nayantara, Vijay Chavan, Laxmikant Berde, Guddi Maruti, Kishori Ambiye in prominent roles and Akshay Kumar in a special appearance. The story revolves around a young middle-class girl and her sacrifices for her family. Realising that she's the only support for her family and her mentally challenged brother, Bandhu she turns down a good marriage proposal. Her story of putting her ageing mother's and her specially abled brother's needs before her make this worth the watch.

'Maherchi Sadi'

Directed by Vijay Kondke, 'Maherchi Sadi' starred Alka Kubal, Ajinkya Dev, Ashalata, Ramesh Bhatkar and Vikram Go9khale in prominent roles. The story revolves around how a father considers his daughter unlucky and swears to never see her face as he loses his wife to childbirth. Soon after he becomes the mill owner and gets married for the second time, he has a son named Vicky. When Vicky gets to know that his stepsister Laxmi is treated as a maid by their parents, he fights for her rights. He does everything that a brother does to protect his sister. The sibling bond in the movie is sure to touch your heart.

'Happy Journey'

'Happy Journey', the Marathi drama, directed by Sachin Kundalkar, features actors Atul Kulkarni and Priya Bapat in lead roles. This movie will definitely leave you spellbound with the kind of brother-sister bond it portrayed. The story is about the love of brother and sister, although she hardly sees her brother in her life. After her death, her spirit gets a chance to fulfil her deepest wish - to finally spend time with her brother. Both actors delivered a beautiful performance. This out of the box story was commercially successful.

'Elizabeth Ekadashi'

'Elizabeth Ekadashi', directed by Paresh Mokashi, starred Shrirang Mahajan, Sayali Bhandarkavathekar, Pushkar Lonarkar, Nandita Dhuri, Vanmala Kinikar in lead roles. The movie follows the story of Dnyanesh and Zendu, who are raised in the town of Pandharpur. As they belong to a poor family, the kids put their heads together to set up a bicycle shop. The film follows their ups and downs and how the brother and sister stand by each other through it all.
