Birthday Special: Five must watch movies of Sai Tamhankar

'Balak-Palak' was a comedy-drama film on the topic of sex education. The film was directed by Ravi Jadhav and produced by Riteish Deshmukh, Uttung Thakur and Ravi himself. This is the first film produced by actor Riteish Deshmukh. The cast included Rohit Phalke, Madan Deodhar, Prathamesh Parab, Bhagyashree Shankpal, Shashwati Pimplikar, Sai Tamhankar, Kishor Kadam. The plot goes around the curiosity of four adolescents that leads them to develop a bond with their elderly schoolmate Vishu who introduces them to a world they were completely unaware of.

'Duniyadari' has been acclaimed by Marathi audience. It had the highest collections at the box office as it ran for more than 100 days in Maharashtra. It starred Swwapnil Joshi, Ankush Choudhary, Urmila Kanitkar, Sai Tamhankar, Jitendra Joshi, Sushant Shelar. The romantic-drama 'Tu Hi Re' was also directed by Sanjay Jadhav. 'Tu Hi Re' starred Swwapnil Joshi, Sai Tamhankar and Tejaswini Pandit in the leading roles. For this movie, Sai and Tejaswini recorded a song as playback singers for the first time. The film's plot was about how a heartbroken man marries another girl and leads a happy life until the past starts creating problems.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, 'Classmates' starred Ankush Choudhary, Sai Tamhankar, Sachit Patil, Sonalee Kulkarni and Siddharth Chandekar. 'Classmates' released on 16 January 2015. The film opened to positive reviews and was declared as a superhit. The story is set on a group of college buddies who meet at the reunion where a surprise visit from a long lost friend surprises them all but there is a secret that this friend holds. Sai essayed her role with effortless ease.

'Vazandar', directed by Sachin Kundalkar, starred Sai Tamhankar and Priya Bapat in the lead roles. It was released on 11 November 2016. 'Vazandar' was an endearing journey of two young and beautiful girls Kaveri (Sai) and Pooja (Priya) who are on a mission to lose weight and get down to the much-hyped size zero. What follows in their quest is a series of funny, eye-opening incidents that change their lives forever.'Vazandar' essentially quashes many societal norms and expectations as it unfolds. Sai and Priya’s performances coupled with beautiful cinematography won everyone over.
