Punjabi singer Noor Chahal, who will very soon be seen in the movie ‘Bajre Da Sitta’ with Ammy Virk and Tania, had a candid conversation with ETimes, on the occasion of Women’s Day. The Punjabi artist strongly believes that the best way to celebrate women or women’s day per se is by putting a stop to labeling females.

Definition of a strong woman
“A woman is any person who identifies as one. It’s tough and wrong to put this term in a box. A woman can be strong, fearless, sensitive, hurt, independent, or anything she wants to.”
“So for me, a woman can be any adjective you put in front of her name.”

Women who inspire you
“A lot of women inspire me every day unknowingly. For instance, my mother is a homemaker, a job taken for granted to the greatest extent. I cannot even imagine working as hard as her. I try to be a little more like her every day.

The best way to celebrate women’s day
“Letting women be is the least society can do for us not only on women’s day but every day. Women’s day should be celebrated by breaking the box of “who is a good woman?” and let every woman live like they want to.”

“I wish all the beautiful women out there strength, love, and power. I know you are working hard and it’s okay to take a break for yourself. I hope we continue to smash patriarchy every day.”
