AR Rahman and Saira Banu got married in 1995, and the couple made a public announcement about getting divorced in November 2024. They ended their 29-year-long marriage just days before reaching their 30th wedding anniversary. Saira's lawyer, Vandana Shah, confirmed their separation and requested fans to respect their privacy during this difficult time. They have two children, Khatija and Raheema, and a son, Ameen.

After the divorce proceedings, Saira once took to her social media to tell fans not to address her as the ex-wife of Rahman. She also wished the musician a speedy recovery following his surgery due to a recent episode of chest pain.

Jayam Ravi shocked his fans with his announcement about an official divorce from his wife, Aarti Ravi. He spoke about ending their 15-year-long marriage in a social media post in September 2024. However, the situation took a different turn when Aarti responded to the post with a public statement, saying she was unaware of the divorce and that both she and their children were struggling to process the news.

Later, Ravi’s friend, Kenishaa Francis, alleged that Aarti and her family had been mentally harassing the actor and that he had been struggling with the cruelty.

On January 17, 2022, Dhanush and Aishwarya took to their social media handles to publicly announce their divorce, ending their 18-year-long marriage. Their statement read:

"18 years of togetherness as friends, as a couple, as parents, and as well-wishers to each other... The journey has been one of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting... Today, we stand at a place where our paths separate... Aishwarya and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand ourselves as individuals for the better..."

They tied the knot in 2004, and their divorce was finalised in November 2024.

GV Prakash Kumar and Saindhavi have officially filed for mutual divorce, ending their 11-year-long marriage. They were childhood friends before getting married in 2013 and announced their separation in 2024.

They wrote:"After much reflection, Saindhavi and I have decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage, for the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect for each other."

They also requested the media to respect their privacy during this time and were later spotted arriving together at the Chennai Family Welfare Court to file for mutual divorce.
