From 'Kolamaavu Kokila' to 'Jailer': Nelson Dilipkumar's creations that were inspired by Breaking Bad

Nelon Dilipkumar is one of the most successful directors in Kollywood. He made his debut with the film 'Kolamaavu Kokila, which starred Nayanthara in the lead role. He is now awaiting the release of his film 'Jailer, starring Rajinikanth in the lead role. The movie is said to release in theaters on August 10. While the film's trailer was launched yesterday, it has been well received. Nelson Dilipkumar is a huge fan of the series 'Breaking Bad'. Before you watch Jailer in theaters, here's a small recap for movie audiences of the scenes in Nelson's films that were inspired by the English science-fiction crime drama series 'Breaking Bad':

Jailer

With the Jailer showcase, released yesterday, fans now notice that the film's lead character is inspired by the character of Mike Ehermantraut. The actor in the series is known for his action, and Rajinikanth's dialogue about how, after a point in time, he does not talk and only kills has made the audience think about the character from the Breaking Bad series.

Kolamaavu Kokila

The film starred Nayanthara in the lead role, and the cast of the movie included Yogi Babu, Saranya Ponvannan, Redin Kingsley, and Rajendran, among others. The movie was released in 2018, and the story of the film shows how the lead of the film embraced her dark side after her family underwent financial trouble. The film was a huge hit.

Doctor

The film starred Sivakarthikyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan in the lead roles. Reportedly, Sivakarthikeyan's character as Dr. Varun was inspired by the series character Gus Fring. While Sivakarthikeyan pretends to be a child trafficker while running a simple ice cream parlor, Gus Fring runs a drug mafia while running a fast-food chain restaurant.

Beast

Nelson Dilipkumar directed Beast in 2022, and it starred Vjay in the lead role. The movie was a commercial hit, but it did not live up to his standards. However, the film was a commercial action story, and it did not lie with any instance or was not inspired by any character or role from Breaking Bad.
