Ahead of its December 25 release, the Vikram Prabhu starrer 'Sirai' is generating significant industry hype. Producer SS Lalit Kumar gifted director Suresh Rajakumari a car, a gesture of gratitude and motivation for the debut filmmaker. The event highlighted the producer's faith in the new director and the film's promising content.
The highly anticipated movie ‘Sirai’ featuring Vikram Prabhu and the debuts of Akshay Kumar, Anishma, and Ananda will see its release tomorrow, on December 25. With Suresh Rajakumari, a protégé of the talented filmmaker Vetri Maaran, as the movie’s director, the film has already generated a lot of buzz owing to its gripping content and impressive team of artists. The film’s screenplay has been written by Tamizh, who is known for his directorial talents in 'Tanaakkaran.' The movie’s press meet held in Chennai prior to its release was special for a reason that went beyond the promotions.

At the event, producer SS Lalit Kumar made news by presenting a car to director Suresh Rajakumari as a mark of gratitude and motivation. The gesture was met with loud cheers from industry colleagues and media persons who attended the event. Viewed as a sign of faith in a first-time director, the gift showed the producer’s commitment to reward those who work hard and put their heart and soul into their project. The moment was called “tear-jerking,” especially for a new director who was warming up his first directorial outing.

Director Suresh Rajakumari reflects on trust

Speaking on the occasion, director Mr. Suresh Rajakumari thanked everyone from all his heart and shared his experiences. “Sirai is a real story about a real human, and there is a way a creative work takes shape,” he said. He told how the producer, Mr. Lalit Kumar, had absolute faith in him for his previous experience of being an assistant director to his mentor, Vetri Maaran.
“I hope I have lived up to that faith,” he said, adding that the producer’s surprise gift would serve as an inspiration to him for life. He also thanked the entire technical team of the movie for their hard work and commitment towards the film.

Industry support hypes buzz for 'Sirai'

The director also praised Vikram Prabhu for going through a physical transformation and delivering a significant performance as a policeman, as well as commendable efforts from newcomer Akshay Kumar in his intense preparation and approach. The media event was attended by a host of well-known producers and directors such as Kalaipuli S. Thanu, Arun Viswa, Suresh Kamatchi, Amma Creations T. Siva, R.K. Selvamani, and Vetrimaaran, among others. However, amidst the fervor and enthusiasm for Sirai, it was the producers’ considerate act towards the film’s director that shone through as the freshest takeaway from this encounter.
