'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam' box office collections day 5: Nandamuri Balakrishna's film Crosses Rs 70 crore
When Nandamuri Balakrishna's roaring screen presence and Boyapati's direction combines, along with Thaman's powerpacked BGM, the audiences can't resist and that's the sole reason why 'Akhanda 2' is taking it high at the box office.
'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam' continues its good run at the box office. The Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer has crossed the Rs 70 crore mark in just five days. By the end of Day 5, the total India net collection stands at around Rs 70.70 crore.
According to the Sacnilk website, the film earned an estimated Rs 4.35 crore India net on Day 5, which was Tuesday. Earlier, Day 3, which was the first Sunday, brought in Rs 15.1 crore across languages. On Day 4, collections dipped as expected on Monday, with Rs 5.25 crore. Despite the drop, the overall trend remains positive.
On Tuesday, 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam' recorded an overall Telugu 2D occupancy of 20.70 percent. Morning shows started at 15.09 percent. The numbers improved during the day, with afternoon shows at 20.50 percent. Evening and night shows stayed strong at 23.45 percent and 23.76 percent.
In Telugu 3D, the overall occupancy stood at 15.07 percent. Morning shows were lower at 9.33 percent. The afternoon and evening shows saw better turnout. Night shows closed at 14.29 percent. The Tamil 2D version recorded an overall occupancy of 14.23 percent.
Directed by Boyapati Srinu, 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam' features Balakrishna Nandamuri in a powerful role. The film also stars Samyuktha Menon, Aadhi Pinisetty, Harshaali Malhotra, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Saswata Chatterjee.
