Best matrimonial-themed Telugu films that can offer audience a perfect treat

Wedding is a memorable event in everyone’s life. In fact, it’s not an event, it’s all about to start a new life with a new person. The couple stay together entire life in this phase anyway. In this regard, there are films that combines with the magic of optimism, joy and festivity revolving around a wedding and such genre has been a favourite concept of filmmakers for centuries. Chi La Sow

We start with the recent release ‘Chi La Sow’, starring Sushanth and Ruhani Sharma, directed by Rahul Ravindran, and jointly produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni and Jaswanth Nadipalli under Annapurna Studios in collaboration with Siruni Cine Corporation. The film deals with the concept of pre-wedding matters. In brief, the story revolves around a happy-go-lucky-guy named Arjun who doesn’t believe in the concept of marriage meets a girl with the force of his mother for his marriage. Unexpectedly, Arjun likes her, yet he is torn between being single and in a relationship. The movie was running successfully in theatres and went on to become a super hit.

Kalyana Vaibhogame

Directed by BV Nandini Reddy, ‘Kalyana Vaibhogame’ stars Naga Shaurya and Malavika Nair in the lead roles. A man and woman come for an engagement process and shares their views on the wedding. But things become worse when their parents do not accept their marriage. Rest of the story is to convince their parents. The lead pair had done their parts very well thanks to the director Nandini and producer KL Damodar Prasad for making such a beautiful and sweet wedding film. Kalyan Koduri’s tunes and background score were a perfect match for the film.

Sasirekha Parinayam

The Krishna Vamsi directorial was somewhat helpful and fetched the career of lover boy Tarun, who was far away from the limelight at that time. Genelia D’Souza had played the titular role in the film where she was seen essaying a village belle who doesn’t have a good opinion over marriage. She runs away from the house and meets a guy who is going to get marry her. Without saying his identity, the guy maintains silence to know the problem of Sasirekha and why she hates marriage. The central theme of the film is about every girl’s issue with marriage.

Varudu

The Allu Arjun starrer reminds the tradition of olden days wedding, which is about five days of marriage tradition. In fact, the title of the film tells that it is all about the marriage of a bridegroom. The bride has been kidnapped by a local goon from the wedding stage itself in the film. The narration of the film falls flat when the bride was missing from the wedding place. The song ‘Aidu Rojula Pell’ is the major highlight of the film thanks to the music composer Mani Sharma.

Chandamama

What happens when two couples get married to the wrong persons? This could have been an intense drama but in the hands of producers C Kalyan and director Krishna Vamsi, it turned out to be a romantic family entertainer. When the couples are in confusion to reveal the truth of their love stories to their father, the story runs very fast to entertain the audience in a decent manner. Everyone likes this film as they deal with such situations in their respective lives. This movie is centred on the relationship between a father and his daughter, and how a father thinks about his daughter when she is gearing up for marriage.

Srinivasa Kalyanam

Touted to be a family entertainer, ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ is centred on the theme of how a wedding has been planned and how the couple reacts to things before marriage. The Nithiin and Raashi Khanna starrer was directed by Satish Vegesna and produced by Dil Raju under his home banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. Cinematographer Sameer Reddy has captured the things well and Mickey J Meyer’s music was lived up to the hype. Actress Nandita Shwetha has played a village belle for the first time in the film.
