The Sizzling Actress from Rajahmundry turns 38; Check out her arresting pics

Sameera Reddy of ‘Jai Chiranjeeva’ fame is one among the very few South-born starlets to make a celluloid debut in Bollywood and create a striking impact among North-Indian viewers. Born into an influential family in Andhra Pradesh, the beautiful actress pursued her entire schooling in Mumbai along with Graduation. After gaining popularity by starring in a private music-video during college days, Sameera decided to test her fate in the showbiz world after wrapping up the education part.

Despite having a pipeline of Hindi projects in her kitty, the dusky diva never neglected her home turf. In 2005, she made her foray into Telugu cinema with the Junior NTR starrer ‘Narasimhudu’ followed by a couple of flicks which included the one with Megastar Chiranjeevi. After a successful stint as a heroine, she quitted acting and tied the knot in 2014. Currently living a happy life with her hubby and son, Sameera is celebrating her 38th birthday today. Check out some arresting pics of this sizzling star from Rajahmundry.

While her elder sibling Meghna Reddy is a former VJ and a supermodel, her second sister Sushama Reddy is a Hindi actress. During childhood & her teenage years, Sameera described herself as a tomboy and the ugly duckling in the family. Everything changed for her after college and she gradually worked on her physique & look.

She was set to make her film debut in Kollywood, but eventually, the project didn’t hit the floors. Finally in 2002, the sizzling personality was roped in as the leading lady in the Sohail Khan directorial ‘Maine Dil Tujhko Diya’. She continued her Hindi career with several super-hits like ‘No Entry’, ‘Taxi Number 9211’, ‘Fool & Final’ and ‘Race’ over the years.

Not-so-successful stint in Tollywod

After a short stay in Mumbai, the bombshell forayed into Telugu cinema with the Junior NTR starrer ‘Narasimhudu’ in 2005 followed by ‘Jai Chiranjeeva’ opposite Chiranjeevi in the same year. She also played the female lead in ‘Ashok’ as well. As none of these films managed to fare well at the box-office, Sameera shifted her focus towards Tamil and Hindi. In her debut Kollywood outing opposite Suriya, the leggy lass managed to create an everlasting impression in the role of Meghna and stole the hearts of many. Post the success of ‘Surya s/o Krishnan’; she bagged many more films in Tamil Nadu.
