Prabhas gears up for a packed 2026 as 'Kalki 2898 AD' sequel and 'Spirit' resume after 'The Raja Saab'
After the thrilling success of The Raja Saab at the box office, Prabhas is revving up for a whirlwind of activity. He’s set to dive back into the action for the much-anticipated sequel of Kalki 2898 AD, while also reuniting with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga on the high-energy project, Spirit.
Rebel Star Prabhas was recently seen in 'The Raja Saab', which collected ₹206.36 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk. Despite fluctuating box office outcomes in recent years, the actor is now preparing to dive straight back into work, with multiple high-profile projects lined up.

What reports suggest about his upcoming schedule

According to Deccan Chronicle, Prabhas is set to return to the universe of 'Kalki 2898 AD'. The sequel is expected to go on floors in February 2026, once again under the direction of Nag Ashwin.

At the same time, strong buzz suggests that the actor will also rejoin the sets of 'Spirit', directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Regular shooting for the film began late last year. If both schedules overlap, February could become one of the most hectic phases of Prabhas’ career. Adding to this, he still has portions of 'Fauzi', helmed by Hanu Raghavapudi, left to complete.

Inside 'The Raja Saab’s' story and genre shift

Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab marked a notable genre shift for Prabhas. The film blends horror, comedy, and emotion against a supernatural backdrop. It follows Raju, a man who inherits an ancestral mansion believed to be haunted. What begins as a simple family transition gradually turns unsettling as buried secrets of the estate emerge.
A strong emotional arc runs through the story via Raju’s grandmother, Gangadevi, who suffers from Alzheimer’s and remains obsessed with finding her missing husband, Kanakaraju. His mysterious disappearance is directly linked to the mansion’s dark past.
