Samantha and Naga Chaitanya celebrate 3 Years of Marital Bliss; Love Story in PICS

Celebrity couple of South cinema, Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya are celebrating three years of togetherness on Tuesday. Wishing her hubby on the occasion, Sam shared a monochrome picture of the duo and wrote “ou are my person and I am yours , that whatever door we come to , we will open it together . Happy anniversary husband @chayakkineni ❤️” Rana Daggubati, Upasana, Kriti Kharbanda, Chinmayi, Raashi, Rakul and several others have showered anniversary blessings on the couple.

In 2017, Sam and Chay got hitched in a fairytale-esque wedding at Goa that took place in both Hindu and Christian traditions. Since then, they have been setting major relationship goals on social media with their adorable pictures from personal space which includes vacations, long drives, playing with doggo Hash, cooking and special day celebrations. Upon meeting on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave in 2009, the off-screen camaraderie between Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu translated into sizzling on-screen chemistry in the romantic-drama. However, due to their personal and professional commitments, they didn’t start dating right away and instead, remained as good friends.

According to reports, after five long years, sparks finally flew between the adorable lovebirds during the making of ‘Autonagar Surya’ in 2014. The following year, Sam posted an adorable birthday message for Naga Chaitanya which read “Happy birthday to my favourite person. Forever and Always. A great year it’s going to be.” To this, the ‘100% Love’ actor replied by calling her ‘paapa’ (nickname) and thanked her.

In 2016, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya made a public appearance at the wedding of Nimmagadda Prasad’s daughter and watched a special screening of ‘A Aa’ later that year. Since then, speculations went rife about their relationship and finally, in September 2016, the ‘Dookudu’ actress confessed that she is indeed dating Chaitanya, but added that they weren't planning to get married anytime soon.

After getting engaged in January 2017, the couple tied the knot in October. It was a 3-day fairytale wedding that took place in both Hindu and Christian traditions at Goa. For the traditional Hindu ceremony, Sam slipped into Chaitanya’s grandmother’s saree and paired it up with Sabyasachi blouse and gold temple jewellery. The bridegroom opted for a simple kurta pyjama. For the church wedding, the bride wore a light purple gown and complemented it with a diamond necklace and matching earrings. Chay looked dapper in a black tuxedo.

Naga Chaitanya has recently kicked-off his post-quarantine work by resuming the shoot of his upcoming film ‘Love Story’ starring Sai Pallavi as the leading lady. After wrapping up this romantic-drama, he will start Vikram Kumar’s film ‘Thank Q’. Besides playing a negative role in her debut web series, Samantha has signed Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal and Ashwin Saravanan's horror-thriller.

After venturing into pre-school business in early 2020, Samantha Akkineni announced the launch of her own clothing line on Teachers’ Day (September 5). She said that the main aim behind her dream project is to make designer dresses reachable and accessible to everyone so they can celebrate their individual expression through fashion. The 33-year-old actress has also joined hands with Upasana Konidela for a fitness program created for the latter’s wellness platform.
