Sandeep Reddy Vanga and
Prabhas have joined forces, working on the upcoming cop action thriller ‘Spirit’. The movie is currently in the shooting phase and the latest reports suggest an update regarding the film’s ongoing schedule.
No break, continuous shoot planned
According to a report by Mid-day, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has decided to call off the New Year break to speed up production. It was earlier reported that the ‘Animal’ director suggedted that the film’s first schedule would be shot till the end of December, followed by a short break. However, the filmmaker now wants to wrap up major portions of the shoot earlier than planned.
Shooting to continue till January
It is reported that the team that started shooting on November 27th in Hyderabad will now continue shooting till the first week of January without any break.
The reason behind this move is said to be the film’s release plan. Earlier, it was decided that the film would be released in December 2027. However, it seems like Sandeep Reddy Vanga is keen on releasing the film by mid 2027. The makers look to be now are now in a little rush and decided to push ahead with continuous shooting schedules.
About ‘Spirit’
‘Spirit’ star Prabhas as fierce cop for the first time in his career. He will be seen in a rebellious and intense avatar who has “One bad habit”. The movie stars Triptii Dimri as the female lead, marking her second collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga after ‘Animal’. Additionally, the movie also stars Vivek Oberoi, who seems to be playing the main antagonist in the film.
The report also suggests that, like how Sandeep Reddy Vanga shocked the audience with Bobby Deol’s portrayal in ‘Animal’, he has something similar planned for Vivek Oberoi.
‘Spirit’ also includes Prakash Raj in a key role. Earlier, the makers released an audio teaser of the film, which includes Prakash Raj's voice-over, who seems to be seen as a warden and Prabhas as a convicted cop.
