Sobhita Dhulipala: 7 jaw-dropping pictures of the ‘Goodachari’ girl

A couple of weeks ago, Sobhita Dhulipala was frequently trolled and harassed on Twitter by Mahesh Babu’s fans for the ridiculous reason known to many. However, this senseless episode didn’t take anything away from her remarkable performance as Sameera Rao in her maiden Telugu flick ‘Goodachari’.

After bagging the Femina Miss India title and representing the country at Miss Earth 2013, Sobhita pursued modelling for a brief stint. In her very first film audition, she bagged a pivotal role in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’, began shooting in two days and wrapped it up in 10 days. Within 6 months, Sobhita was at the Cannes Film Festival nominated for the critics’ choice for best-supporting performance.

The 26-year-old actress, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, emerged as a hot favourite on social media by posting her dazzling pictures from foreign holidays and private photo-shoots. These bold images are sure to steam up the internet and make your jaw drop.

Born in Tenali and brought up in Vizag, Sobhita moved to Mumbai for higher studies and got graduated from the HR College with a degree in commerce. Also acquiring a master’s degree, she comes from a family of PhDs with a geeky childhood.

During her first film audition, she had to perform an intimate scene with Vicky Kaushal which comes at the beginning of ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’. Though he was a total stranger and the surroundings were unfamiliar to her, Sobhita nailed it in a single take. Floored by her acting skills, Anurag Kashyap offered her Smrutika Naidu’s role within just 45 minutes into the audition.

Sobhita Dhulipala is well trained in classical dance forms like Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi. Quite passionate about writing poetry, she loves to backpack and explore global cultures and cuisines. She constantly updates her social media fans with eye-popping photos.

She forayed into the world of modelling by featuring in a popular calendar in 2014. This brought good recognition to the gorgeous beauty along with several assignments to walk the ramp for eminent Indian designers.

Sobhita admits that she has watched only 25 odd films in her life with eight of them from Harry Potter series. She credits Sekhar Kammula’s rom-com ‘Anand’ as one among the few films that had a strong impression on her.

Dhulipala is pretty clear on her film career. She admits being not obsessed with the idea of fame, money or any sort of social power. She wants to do meaningful cinema and live life according to her will.

The ‘Kaalakaandi’ actress presently has her hands full with Geetu Mohandas’s Malayalam-Hindi adventure ‘Moothon’, Jeetu Joseph’s Bollywood remake of the Spanish thriller ‘The Body’.
