About the Movie

The film had the potential of being a quick, breezy romcom. But the many characters, twists, turns and even a fight make it seem just a mundane commercial outing.

Rajahamsa Movie Review {2/5}: Critic Review of Rajahamsa by Times of India

Jadesh Kumar's film begins on a promising note. The film has a loving business family and the youngest son in the family — Raj — is the most jovial of them all, who wants to live life to the fullest. His passion is drinking coffee with different interesting personalities and this leads him to the heroine. Unfortunately what could have been a fun romcom ends up being a long drama that has many detours. The hero chances upon the heroine in a personal diary of a dead man who he tries to rescue from an accident. He gets drawn to her and wants to have coffee with her to find out how she inspired the dead man to write such amazing poetry. But, as expected, he falls in love with her and this love is based on a lie. The story then shifts from town to the interior rural Karnataka and there is even an Angara-RangiTaranga influence among the many sub plots. The film had the potential of being a quick, breezy romcom. But the many characters, twists, turns and even a fight make it seem just a mundane commercial outing. The idea behind the film is novel, though it might take a little more than patience to sit through to the interesting bits that unfold in parts.
