Indian air chief meets Bangla president

DHAKA: Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal S Krishnaswamy met Bangladesh president Dr Iajuddin Ahmed at his residence and discussed military training cooperation between the two neighbours.

DHAKA: Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal S Krishnaswamy met Bangladesh president Dr Iajuddin Ahmed at his residence and discussed military training cooperation between the two neighbours.
On Monday, Krishnaswamy, who is on a Bangladesh tour, visited Shikha Anirban — the eternal flame at Dhaka cantonment — and placed floral wreath at the memorial to pay homage to the members of the armed forces martyred during the Liberation War in 1971.

The Indian air chief also called on Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) chief Vice Marshal Fakhrul Azam at the air headquarters and later met defence secretary K M Ehsanul Haq and discussed training and academic activities of the armed forces between the two countries. Later, Krishnaswamy visited BAF base Kurmitola where he witnessed a static display of different aircrafts.
