Renowned Urdu poet Bashir Badr passes away at 91

NEW DELHI: Noted Urdu poet Bashir Badr passed away at the age of 91, PTI reported citing family sources on Thursday.He died in Bhopal after prolonged illness.“Bashir Badr sahib passed away today at around 12.15–12.30 pm. For me, it is very difficult to express the extent of Bashir sahib’s impact on others. I can only speak about the impact he had on me," said his son Syed Badr."Today is the day when he is no longer with us. I request everyone to pray for him. Another information is that his funeral will take place today. After Maghrib prayers, his namaz-e-janaza will be offered at Kadim Masjid, and he will be laid to rest at the Bada Bagh graveyard,” he added.
