Khichdi flashback: How do the actors look now

Ekta Kapoor's saas bahu sagas have always ruled the small screen but back in 2002 a new sitcom made entry into the hearts of people all over India. Produced by UTV, Aatish Kapadia, Khichdi made waves across India and became a cult with the audience. Its characters be it Hansa, her husband Praful, brother Himanshu or Bapu ji everyone was loved by families. It has been 14 years since the show was aired, here's a look at the actors of the hit show and what are they upto now. (Credits: Jhanvi Bhandari)

Anang Desai as Tulsi Parekh

Anang Desai played the role of Tulsi Parekh, who was always in a bad mood because of his son Praful and his daughter-in-law Hansa. But he is also known for a good heart. He stayed with his entire family in a very old ancestral house called Mohan Niwas. His children wanted him to sell his property but he never agrees. Bapu ji was always rescued by his eldest bahu Jayshree.

Rajeev Mehta as Praful Parekh

'Hansa! Main Hoon Na' was one of the funniest dialogues from the show and his epxlanation of things in his own manner was a hit. Audience's faviorite Parful Parekh was essayed by Rajeev Mehta. His superb antics and comic timings was liked by almost everyone. His English was one of the hot topics for viewers to talk about.

Supriya Pathak as Hansa Parekh

Hansa Parekh married to Parful Parekh was one step ahead of her husband in terms of stupidity. Veteran actress Supriya Pathak played the role of Hansa Parekh. She was always seen well dressed with a gajra in her hair. Not at all good in English, Hansa always tried to speak it but failed every time.

Vandana Pathak as Jayshree

Widowed daughter-in-law of Tulsidas Jayshree was played by our very favorite Vandana Pathak. Jayshree used to love cooking and was often seen talking to her Baa on the phone. Her aim of life was to sell Mohan Niwas and live in an independent apartment with her son, Jackky. She used to irritate Babuji while serving tea but was his favourite too.

Richa Bhadra as Chakki Parekh

The cute and bubbly Richa Bhadra portrayed the character of Chakki Parekh in the show. She was the daughter of Praful and Hansa in the sitcom. Unlike her parents, she was smart and wise.

Yash Mittal as Jackky Parekh

The only son of Jayshree, Yash Mittal played the role of Jackky Parekh. He had a signature phrase," Bade log, bade log, which he used to repeat along with Chakki.

Raju Parekh was played by Amit Varma. He used to flirt with young beautiful girls and was married to Melissa.

Jamnadas Mejethia as Himanshu Seth

Hansa's younger brother Himanshu was another loved character of the show. He was also famous for his funny antics. Jamnadas Maejethia played the role of Himanshu Seth. 'Kisi Ko Pata Nahi Chalega' was his signature dialogue in the show.
