Global sensation Shakira is known not only for her dance chops and singing skills, the Latina superstar also has a huge fanbase that keeps up with her fashion tactics, and honestly, we are among them. She is currently enjoying her ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour’, and for the first time, she invited her sons on stage at the Estadio Vélez Sarsfield in Argentina. What shook people more was that this Colombian icon re-wore her customised Gaurav Gupta ensemble, which she wore on the opening night of the tour in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The shine of the fierce metallic corset
If you’re a fan of Gaurav Gupta, you know his obsession with metallic corset bodies, structures, and pleated detailing. This signature element appeared in Shakira’s couture: an alluring blue metallic sweetheart neckline corset featuring the Lunar Wolf, made of cast metal and sculpted with the singer’s spirit animal. It symbolised fierce maternal protection and was perfectly suited to her performance alongside her sons.

From Cannes to LA, many international artists have worn his creations, where the sculptural wavy aesthetic has become a signature element. Here, the stunning metallic corset was paired with an Ocean Wave sculpted silk organza skirt.
