5 tips to look stylish when you have run out of money

It's that time of the month, when all of us are waiting for that salary message to hit our inboxes. Also, this time marks the end of a year that has been emotionally and financially challenging for a lot of us. For many of us, 2020 meant multiple visits to the hospital, job losses, zero appraisals and end of businesses. But hey, you've got to do what you've got to do! Right? And we girls can stop fretting about what was lost! Well, it's time to pep up and look forward to 2021 with oomph and style. And, if you've got no money, don't worry honey for we've charted out five super cool hacks for you that will help you look stylish, that too on a budget.

2/6

Raid your wardrobe

You can be tight on money, but that has nothing to do with how you style yourself. Styling has nothing to do with buying new clothes. In fact, these tough quarantine times have made all of us dig into our wardrobes and discover old jewels in the form of clothes that haven't been worn even once and some that are back in vogue, so go raid your wardrobe.

3/6

Accessorise

New clothes may cost you a bomb, but new accessories can be definitely bought on a budget. So, go big on accessories. Whether its watches (there's a year-end sale on), artificial jewellery, sunglasses, caps or shoes. It's time to accessorise well and set some serious styling goals.

4/6

Get your guy's help

From boyfriend jeans to over-sized shirts, all things loose and baggy are back in vogue and if you don't have any of these, it's time to take the help of your man. Just borrow his classic checkered shirt or baggy pyjamas and you are all set to seal the style deal.

5/6

Layer

Layering clothes simply means wearing many garments together and making a style statement. It could be a shirt, sweater vest teamed up with a long blazer or a ganji with a loose shirt and waistcoat. You try layering once and you'll be addicted because it's simply so cool.

6/6

Go monotone

We think it's basic psychology to seem neat when you are all colour coordinated. We don't mean you have to match everything, but you can always experiment with different shades of the same colour, right?
