Pineapple Juice

When it comes to juices, pineapple juice is most helpful during periods. Pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelain which helps in shedding the lining of the uterus, which further helps in inducing periods. Do you know that pineapple increases the production of red and white blood cells, which also helps in better blood flow? In a nutshell, pineapple juice is a must-have for those dealing with irregular periods and uneven flow.

Turmeric Tea

Turmeric is an emmenagogue which helps in bettering the blood flow in the uterus and pelvic region. It also has an antispasmodic effect on the body, which expands the uterus and induces menstruation.

You can either drink turmeric tea prepared using water or haldi doodh prepared using milk. Heat 1 cup of water in a pan and add ½ tsp turmeric powder to it. Let it boil and simmer for two minutes, pour in a cup and sip while warm. To make haldi doodh, boil 1 cup of milk in a pan. Add a 2-inch piece of kacchi haldi or ½ tsp turmeric powder. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Pour in a cup, add jaggery powder to sweeten it up a bit and drink warm.
